A Little About Me

"life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

Hunter S. Thompson

I completely embrace Mr Thompson's words but more importantly, their meaning.

I believe you must bring your whole self to the table if you want to thrive in today’s crazy world; your personality, your sense of humor, and most importantly, your heart.

My name is Kathy Sarvary.  I am not positioning myself as an expert on the subject of being an athlete...  BUT!  With 30+ years of being a competitive athlete, having earned 4 World Master Championship Titles and 7 National Championship Titles in the crazy sport of Cyclocross, and in excess of 10 years of coaching, I do have a sense of what fuels the competitive soul.

This blog is about connecting with something that is inside all of us.  It's the kid that wants to come out and play, it's the athlete, the champion that lives in our souls.

I am a firm believer that there is an athlete inside all of us and with a little help and guidance, that piece of us can really shine.  My goal is to share some of my knowledge and experience... in hopes that the athlete in you, gets the chance to come out and play.
